Board games to lift the collective mood

Some trials require long-term hospitalisation. If you’re staying in our unit for 17 days, you’ll come to appreciate some of our regulars’ initiatives. Jean-Philippe is a fan of board games. For study M2606, he brought around twenty with him in his case: “I chose all kinds for all tastes,” smiles the group’s “Captain”. “From 2 or 6 players, short games as well as others which last 3 hours… I have around 400 at home, not counting the add-ons! I hope everyone had a great time and made some lasting memories”.

He was absolutely right… Two newcomers and two regulars were by his side when we were taking our surveys. “For my first time, it was cool,” explained Alexandre. “I enjoyed my time there and it gave me the motivation to do other clinical trials, be it here or elsewhere.

“I was lucky to have Jean-Philippe there with me, he made the time go faster,” admitted Pilou. “What did bother me a little was having to wait until 4pm to get into the recreation room. If my roommates wanted to have a nap, I had to keep busy and not make any noise.
